Welcome new academic year!

Jyväskylä University Library

FUN has returned from summer break to resume work. Autumn started with a working committee meeting in August, where the committee planned upcoming meetings for the fall. Additionally, the committee decided to establish a specialist working group to update the interlibrary loan pricing list.

FUN’s first meeting of the fall was held on September 17th. FUN met with representatives of AMKIT (The libraries of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences), discussing topics such as statistics and open science. Furthermore, representatives from FUN’s working groups shared updates on their progress, and a discussion about FinElib’s current issues.

The renewal of FUN’s strategy is progressing and will be completed by the end of the year. FUN’s Rights Retention Strategy working group will continue its efforts to promote the openness of research publications.

FUN wishes everyone a great start to the new academic year!
