Introduction to the Strategy
FUN, Finnish University Libraries’ Network, is a collaborative forum for the directors responsible for university library services in Finland. University libraries work together for the benefit of their academic communities by influencing future solutions and changes in the operational field, as well as experimenting with new ways of working.
During the strategy period 2025–2028, FUN emphasizes operating in a changing, digitizing environment. FUN engages in strong dialogue with the scientific community and stakeholders to improve the conditions for science, arts, research, and education.
FUN’s strategy is based on the following themes:
Community and Collaboration
- FUN influences the academic library field by actively collaborating with national stakeholders, highlighting the network’s shared views.
- FUN anticipates changes in the universities’ operational field and finds effective solutions through collaboration and dialogue.
- FUN participates in national projects that promote education and research.
