FUN’s Sustainability Guidelines and Recommendations

FUN’s Sustainability Guidelines and Recommendations (PDF) were approved at the FUN meeting on 6th of June 2024.

FUN’s sustainability work is built on the pillars of responsibility:

  • Environmental aspects
  • Economic aspects
  • Social aspects
  • Cultural aspects

The work is guided by the UNIFI’s Theses on sustainable development and responsibility and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

At the core of the UN 2030 Agenda is the transformation that is essential for achieving the goals. Universities’ research, teaching, and learning serve as drivers of societal change. In this, university libraries act as essential knowledge and information infrastructures.

A key operating principle of university libraries is the sustainable sharing of resources, materials, and spaces.
